What a fantastic end to 2014 we had with a lovely Christingle themed morning on Friday 19th December. We were delighted that over eighty parents came into school to help children make a Christingle and complete various other reflective activities around the theme of Christingle. The service in the school hall was made very special with all the children’s glowing Christingles representing Jesus, the light of the world. Once again I was really impressed with how the children in our ‘Ethos Group’ led the classroom activities and the Christingle service so confidently and enthusiastically. A collection held during the service raised over £60 for The Children’s Society who help free children living in poverty from disadvantage and give them a better chance in life. It was great that Christingle service helped us to remember the real meaning of Christmas, and to think about others who may not be as fortunate as ourselves. Thank you to all the parents, friends and family members who joined us for what proved to be a very special morning.
