At the end of the Christmas term we turned our attention to showing friendship to those in need I our local community. Children and parents very generously made donations of food to the Grove’s Christmas hamper appeal. The donations were sorted by our ‘God’s Council’ children and delivered by hand to the Grove by the children accompanied by Miss Teague. God's Council thoroughly enjoyed visiting The Grove to see exactly where the food that we donated goes. The volunteers at The Grove gave us a tour of the building, showed us the most popular foods and how it was stored and used and explained how it all works from receiving it to delivering it to families and community members. God's Council will be delivering a worship to the rest of the school to explain where our food goes once we donate it and the impact it really has on so many lives and people that live locally to us. We are called to love people and we believe this was a great reminder and a great opportunity to be a part of this Christmas time. Thank you to anyone who gave to help the food bank, it is greatly appreciated!
