PGL Day 3

ALL the children slept very well again on their second night at PGL - a busy day meant they were asleep even quicker than last night.  Breakfast consisted of sausages, eggs and beans plus the usual cereals and fruit.  Then it was time to pack our dry bags and head off to the Kayaking activity which we did as a whole class.

We are very pleased to say that ALL the children took to the water and thoroughly enjoyed the activity despite the terrible, sometimes heavy downpours.  We were all soaking wet anyway so nobody seemed to notice the rain.  Our instructors took us through the basics of paddling and then we were quickly onto games such as 'find your group' and 'Humans v Zombies'.  We finished off with the 5 star challenge which involved kissing the end of our kayaks and diving in.  As you can see by the class photo everyone was wet and soggy but smiling!!

After warm showers and another visit to the cafeteria to fill up on baguettes and wraps we were raring to go onto our next activities.  Different groups took part in abseiling, aeroball and the trapeze.  The weather even brightened up for us and we remained dry for the rest of the afternoon.  The level of enthusiasm teamwork and general grit and determination has not waned and the children are very proud of their achievements so far.

More food and socialising over tea time.  ALL the children are eating well, PGL are catering for all tastes.  One child commented today 'I haven't thought about my X-box once'!

Evening entertainment has consisted of 'Capture the Flag' and tomorrow we take to the water once again for raft building.
