Another fantastic day here at PGL. The whole class took part in the raft building activity. After designing their craft the children went down to the lake to put their designs to the test. To everyone's amazement they actually floated and even kept some of the children dry! Again it was great to see the children approach the challenge with such confidence and enthusiasm. After some games and races on the water the braver children amongst the group took on the instructors final challenge to swim around the rafts. Some even went for one last dip at the end in the murky waters - expect some very soggy and dirty clothes in suitcases.
After another hot lunch in the cafeteria we split into our groups to take part in a sensory challenge where children guided each other blindfolded over various obstacles - another great activity to demonstrate our excellent teamwork skills. Children also took on the zip wire challenge, whilst one of our groups did abseiling and the challenge course. The weather has been kind to us today, but that didn't stop the challenge course group finding the mud!
The children's evening entertainment is a disco which they are all very excited about. All the children and staff have had a great time. We finish tomorrow with the two activities that groups have not yet competed such as giant swing, archery, zip wire etc. Expect children to return home very tired!! The staff are delighted with the children's behaviour, attitude and enthusiasm - we were the only school singing the PGL songs at breakfast this morning! Where do they get their energy from???
