World Book Day 2019
Thank you to all parents and carers who provided children with wonderful costumes for World Book Day. Mr Jaeger, our English lead, had themed the day around two books; ’The day the crayons quit’ for KS1 (inspiring the teachers to dress as crayons for the day!) and ’Stubby’ for KS2. I was very impressed with the quality of writing activities that the books generated. The children also enjoyed a World Book Day quiz, sharing books with other children across the school and a tasty World Book Day lunch provided by Mellors. Your child should have received their £1 World Book Day voucher to spend. On Wednesday 27th March we are going to be visited by the Book Peoples ‘book bus’ instead of hosting a book fair this year. We hope that you will be able to support this initiative to raise funds for additional school books this year.
