In our school all the pupils learn Spanish. In Key Stage 1 they learn the basics (greetings, colours, numbers, weather, body parts, etc), sing songs and play games - our main purpose is to help them develop a positive attitude to languages. In Key Stage 2 the teaching is in line with the National Curriculum Languages Programmes of Study and we aim to "enable pupils to express their ideas and thoughts in another language and to understand and respond to its speakers, both in speech and in writing".
