Our Faith in Year 5
Year 5's class value is respect. We spend time reflecting on this value during our class worships. Our class worships are held weekly and are led by a different group of children each half term.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Class Worship - February
Thank you to our Class Worship group this half term who led us in worship to help us think about our Christian Values and how they help us on our journey.
"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Class worship - February
Class Worship - December
Thank you to Mia, Rhys, Tyler and Archie who led us in class worship this half term. For their final worship, they decided that they would like to focus on Hope at Christmas. They asked the class to think about Hopes that they have at this time of year. The class then worked together to create a piece of collective art work that includes all of the hopes from the class.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Class Worship - October
Thank you to Josie, Phoebe, Bethany, Dylan, Josh and George for leading us in worship this half term. Parents were invited in during their final worship to celebrate and praise with the class. We thought about God's creation of the Earth and different things in nature that help us to remember that God is among us and created everything. The class and invited parents created images of different examples of God's creation and displayed them in our Prayer Corner.
"Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each bearing fruit with seed according to its kind.” And it was so.
