Our Faith in Year 6

Year 6 Class Worship

Sadly, for a number of reasons this term, many members of the worship group have been absent.  As a result, we were unable to record a class worship for this half-term.  To make up for this, some of the worship group have asked to share some prayers that they have written this term.  Here they are:

A prayer for our global community

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the warmth, light and power you give us each day.

We hope we can be respectful and take care of the wonderful world we live in.

Help us to keep the pledges we made this year to help look after our community and our world.

In your name we make the pledge to look after each other and our community.

A prayer of rememberance

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the people who volunteer themselves to fight to protect us.

Thank you for the war-free world that we find ourselves currently living in - for being fortunate enough to feel safe in our beds at night.

Thank you for those who have sacrificed so much to make this possible.

We are sorry for not always appreciating this as we should.

Help us to remember how important these people are, so that they are never forgotten and so that we do not get into more wars.

In your name,

A prayer at Christmas

Dear Father God,

We take this time to thank you for the ability to celebrate the birth of your one and only son, Jesus Christ.

Across all countries of the world, this event brings us together in hope.

At this time of advent, help us to think and remember why we really celebrate at Christmas.

We will know that on this day, you sent your son to save our wonderful world.

Help us to share your love at Christmas time.

In your name,
