Hello and welcome to Year 3. We hope you enjoy looking at what we have been up to! Thanks for looking!
To finish our unit on 'play scripts', the children have prepared their own play scripts based on 'Goldilocks and the three bears'. Today we have used the play scripts to help us prepare a performance for the rest of the class. Each group has a director and all the characters must act and follow stage directions etc. We took full advantage of the weather and have enjoyed rehearsing on the field. I can't wait to watch them tomorrow!

What a fantastic end to another busy week in year 3! A huge thank you to Mellors catering and for all the parents who kindly volunteered to help transport the children there and back. You can see from the pictures, a great time was had by all! Have a wonderful weekend.
Today, we have enjoyed using the musical instruments. We gave each person a shape and they had to follow our arrangement, playing their instrument at the correct time. I hope you enjoy listening to these as mush as I did!
Thank you for helping us to support Children in Need 2018, have a lovely weekend!
World War 1
Year 3 have really enjoyed researching all about World War 1. We have been lucky enough to have a couple of visitors in our class. Local historians, Mr Houghton and Mr Morris have bought in lots of pictures and memorabilia to share with everyone. The children have been fascinated and asked lots of questions.
Year 3 have completed a variety of activities linked to the world war including, designing and writing a thank you card to a soldier, baking trench cakes and using descriptive language to imagine being a soldier in a trench.
