Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies

We have ensured that Lordsgate is a safe environment for your child and have invested heavily in the security of the school and its perimeter.  All staff wear identification badges and all have undergone rigorous checks on their suitability to work with children.  We take our responsibility to protect children from harm very seriously; this includes harm from physical, emotional, neglect or sexual abuse.  Robust systems are in place to identify and act upon any concerns and we follow strict national and local guidelines regarding child protection.  Where concerns are raised the headteacher will raise them with parents and if appropriate Early Help, support and advice will be provided. Under the schools duty of care to children appropriate referrals may need to be made to relevant external agencies if deemed necessary.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead is: Mr C. Hackett (Headteacher)

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leaders : Mr M. Plowman (Deputy Headteacher) and Mrs K. McLennan (Inclusion Manager)
