Year 6 PGL 2026 - Day 2
Tue 30 Jun 2026Everyone had a good night sleep - staff were delighted at not being disturbed so everyone got their beauty sleep. After a hearty breakfast of cereal, bacon, beans and fruit the children were raring to go for an action packed day. In the morning groups experienced the zipwire, archery, climbing and problem solving in 'puzzle park'. Children will complete this rotation tomorrow morning. After a lunch of pasta or sandwiches we headed down to the lake for an afternoon of raft building. After building our rafts we played games on the water and then had the opportunity to splash around and get each other soaked! The busy day continued with tea and a visit to the shop all rounded off by an evening of entertainment, song and stories by the camp fire. What a day - children are all tired and settling down in their rooms for the night.

Year 6 PGL 2026
Mon 29 Jun 2026After arriving on site, eating our packed lunch and unpacking a few things in our lodges we were straight to activities. We all went on the Giant Swing - a firm favourite among the children and a good chance to encourage one another and show good teamwork. We also had a range of orienteering challenges to complete around the centre. Everyone ate well in the canteen for tea with a choice of chicken, fish fingers or noodles - there was lots of returning to the salad bar too!! This evening we have taken part in a Cluedo challenge where the children have had to ask various animal characters around the centre for clues in return for completing the particular animals task for the children. Lots of us worked out it was Maisie the Shark in the Billiard room!! A great start to our PGL adventure!
